[He clasps his hands behind his back and starts moving. He can never stay still while giving a speech like this.]

[As he walks, the Croagunk-held Gear revolves to track him, revealing that the wall has a large patch in a different color, and that something further back and to his right appears to be bowling lanes. A few feathers are scattered on the floor.]

First off, as you can see here, we got us a headquarters here in Goldenrod now. You got a problem, you come here.

The second thing we have is a problem.

See, there's an asshole out there trying to commit acts of terrorism and take shit over, and I for one am not planning on letting him.

[He shoots a hard look at the camera. A feather drifts against his foot.]

[He notices something stuck to him. He scowls, grabs the feather off his pant leg, and brandishes it at the camera.]

I've been doing some calling around. It turns out a Center in the Sevii Islands went incommunicado at just about that time that moron was swaggering around bragging about taking one over.

Your assignment is to take your flying and swimming monsters and scout out the area. I'll be sending my bat, too. We find this idiot, then we make him regret who he screwed with.

[He hasn't lived through it yet, but he's heard enough to connect the dots.]

[Sure, preteens may run around with monsters here, but that's a different ball game.]

Hey, we've been training ever since we were little kids. Give us some credit.

[Then again, this is coming from a guy who'll later become friends with Mickey Mouse.

[He will gt a real different impression if you were child soldiers. That doesn't really fit with the Mickey Mouse part, though.]

Nah, our world's too peaceful for an army. We just taught ourselves, though we do wind up going on some pretty crazy adventures in the future, apparently.

[He shrugs, mostly because he only has others' accounts to go off of. Kinda stinks, in a way.]

Ah. You mean you ran around playing cops and robbers.

[He sounds more relieved than derisive. He's had enough hearing about child soldiers for lifetime.]

You believe in this future stuff, huh. It's all planned.

Petty sure cops and robbers don't use swords.

And I don't see why not. Sora's from more than a year ahead of me, and everyone else from our universe has said pretty much the same stuff.
